Educational Requirements for Production Chemist role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or a related field
- Experience in general manufacturing, biological sciences, or life sciences preferred
- Prior GMP manufacturing experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities for Production Chemist role:
- Bulk formulation of diagnostic reagents and intermediates using approved GMP procedures
- Lead and train team members on low to medium complexity manufacturing processes
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and organizing product teams
- Complete production documentation and maintain GDP/GMP quality records
- Monitor manufacturing processes and adjust operations to meet required yields
- Review variances and document process notations
- Perform data entry, inventory control, and trend analysis using ERP systems
- Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
- Participate in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in developing new procedures with R&D and product transfer teams
- Support training and recipe/Bill of Materials modifications
Skills Required for Production Chemist role:
- Strong understanding of GMP and GLP
- Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, materials, and environment
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate production activities
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills
