Job Description
The Life Science Research Professional 1 at Stanford University will play a central role in an innovative study focused on derived regulatory spleen T cells (Tregs) to promote immune tolerance in transplant recipients.
Core Duties
- Plan approach to experiments in support of research projects
- Independently conduct experiments and maintain detailed records
- Apply scientific theory to interpret experiment results for Life science role
- Review literature to remain current with new procedures
- Contribute to publication of findings and assist in preparing written documents
- Help with general lab maintenance and training of new staff
Desired Qualifications
Background in biology, molecular biology, or immunology; Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field; Experience with tissue culture, cloning, and PCR.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field.
Working Conditions
May require working in proximity to blood borne pathogens; Potential exposure to hazardous materials and/or infectious diseases; May entail extended or unusual work hours.
