Job Description:

The Associate Microbiologist will support Eurofins’ laboratory operations by conducting microbiological analyses, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining accurate laboratory documentation. This role involves performing routine microbiology procedures, conducting PCR analysis, applying aseptic techniques, and collaborating within a team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological procedures, including dilutions, enrichments, plating, and PCR analysis.
  • Apply aseptic techniques and proper sample handling methods.
  • Maintain accurate records in logbooks, bench records, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Conduct quality checks, routine cleaning, and ensure equipment compliance.
  • Prepare media, wash glassware, and maintain lab inventory.
  • Plan and manage assigned workload efficiently.
  • Ensure lab safety and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
  • Support team operations and perform other related duties as assigned.

Microbiologist Job at Eurofins – Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field

Experience and Skills:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
  • Experience with PCR analyses, aseptic techniques, and pipetting preferred.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and learn new techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift to 30 lbs.
