Job Description
IEH Labs is seeking a Microbiologist – Graveyard Shift to join its Modesto facility. The position involves hands-on laboratory testing and analysis of food samples, with a focus on identifying pathogens and ensuring quality and safety standards. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze food samples for pathogens using PCR and immunoassay methods
- Conduct microbial enumerations
- Perform accurate data entry and generate laboratory reports
- Maintain quality control in lab operations
- Prepare media and other lab materials
- Support additional laboratory tasks as assigned
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in biological sciences or a related field (required)
Experience and Skills
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of aseptic laboratory techniques
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $22.00 per hour, plus $2/hour night shift differential
