Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing both complex and straightforward sampling and testing procedures, as well as investigative troubleshooting, inventory control, and assisting the laboratory supervisor with the training of new laboratory technicians. Operation and maintenance of basic and complex laboratory instrumentation is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
- B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Medical Technology, or other related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of life science lab or environmental experience; medical device or industrial experience preferred.
Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., KSAs):
- Demonstrated exemplary ability to perform all assigned procedures promptly and with minimal supervision in the Laboratory Technician position.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize own workload.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Detail-oriented and analytical; must assess reasonability of test results.
- Coordination and supervision of training activities for new hires as needed.
- Ability to follow up with abnormal results or circumstances.
- Capable of operating complex instrumentation.
- Practical verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with GMPs and GLPs.
- Flexibility to work overtime and/or shift work as job demands.
Travel Expectations:
Up to 5%
