Your day looks like this:
- Read plates and tubes, as required, to determine the number of organisms in the sample
- Record findings on the worksheet for verification
- Prepare a sample for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending
- Support corporate quality and the continuous improvement process
- Adhere to all safety policies
- Perform other related tasks as needed
YOUR PROFILE
An associate’s degree or equivalent work experience and 1+ year of relevant work, or a bachelor’s degree, is required. The incumbent must have a basic knowledge of microbiology to perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
Required skills: Analytical skills, a general knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System, and physical dexterity are essential for this role.
Work Environment: The incumbent works in a laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory.
Compensation: $17.50 USD per hour
