Job Overview
This molecular lab technician opportunity in Naperville, IL offers you the chance to join CellCarta’s Genomics Unit, performing specialized molecular analyses, including DNA and RNA extraction and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized molecular analysis on multiple platforms.
- Operate analyzers, troubleshoot issues, and assist with maintenance.
- Prepare samples, instruments, and analyses according to protocol.
- Monitor lab processes and document data in the Lab Information Management System (LIMS).
- Assist with data interpretation and adhere to GCP, CAP/CLIA, ISO quality standards.

Participate in a variety of molecular lab jobs, performing DNA/RNA extraction, NGS, and other molecular analyses to support research and diagnostic projects.
- Maintain inventory and manage supply orders.
- Dispose of hazardous chemicals according to regulatory guidelines.
- Accurately document all lab work and QC activities.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or Biochemistry from an accredited college/university.
- Two years of prior molecular testing laboratory experience is preferred.
- Experience with NGS, qPCR, dPCR, RNA-seq, WGS, or WES is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and databases, and willing to learn new software tools.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
