Position Summary:
The Industrial Hygienist at Nestlé Health Science is responsible for providing direction and leadership in factory Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, pest control, and hygienic design programs. This position plays a key role in ensuring food safety, compliance monitoring, and fostering a quality and compliance mindset across departments.
Hours: Must be willing to work flexible hours to cover hygienic programs for multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and validate sanitation programs, SSOPs, and allergen management systems.

Maintain factory hygiene through robust pest control and master sanitation schedules.

Lead hygienic design initiatives for process equipment and structural improvements.

Manage pathogen monitoring and trend data analysis

Coordinate hygiene training for factory staff and contractors

Act as liaison for chemical and pest control vendors

Ensure compliance with Nestlé’s internal policies and regulatory (FDA, FSMA) standards

Contribute to HACCP and Food Safety Teams for PRP verifications

Support cleaning validation, allergen clearance, and environmental safety programs

Promote a behavior-based safety culture within the factory
Experience and Education Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, or related field preferred
- Professional GMP/Sanitation training preferred
- 2+ years of experience in food plant sanitation, quality/supervisory roles
- Knowledge in food safety, HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, 5S, and GMP
- Basic knowledge in hygienic design, quality management, and project management
