Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Sample Preparation and Analysis:
- Prepare samples of flour, dough, sauce, and other ingredients or finished products for testing.
- Analyze chemical and physical properties using various equipment and techniques.
- Record and document test results accurately.
- Identify and address any deviations or issues in the analysis.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment and upkeep of laboratory workspace.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all tests, analyses, and results.
- Prepare reports and summaries of test findings.
Research and Development:
- Assist with research and development activities related to flour and dough products.
- Take part in the Global Food laboratory community’s scientific meetings and embrace digital ways of working.
- Collaborate in developing new testing methods and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field (e.g., food science, biology) is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform routine laboratory tests and analyses with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint or other document management systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting (chemical or physical analysis) is preferred.
- Experience with specific testing methods and equipment relevant to flour and dough analysis is a plus.
