Job Description:
As a QC Microbiologist I/II/III, you’ll perform microbial analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in compliance with GxP standards to ensure product quality and safety.
Microbiologist I – Entry-Level Responsibilities:

Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials and final products
-
Record and review data following GxP and GMP standards
-
Participate in validation studies and document revisions
-
Maintain lab equipment and aseptic conditions
-
Demonstrate basic microbiology skills: aseptic technique, gram staining, plating
Microbiologist II – Mid-Level (In Addition to Above):
-
Execute advanced microbiology assays including:
-
LAL testing (Gel-Clot, Kinetic)
-
Bioburden (membrane filtration, pour plate)
-
Growth promotion, APE, CCI testing, and more
-

Conduct microscopic ID (bacteria/fungi) using mass spectroscopy
-
Support product validations and engage with internal/external clients
-
Mentor and assist in training junior microbiologists
Microbiologist III – Senior-Level (In Addition to Above):
-
Demonstrate QC leadership and technical expertise
-
Lead investigations and process improvements
-
Suggest new strategies for assay performance and troubleshooting
-
Oversee cross-functional collaborations as needed
Qualifications:
Microbiologist I:
-
Bachelor’s in Microbiology or related science
-
No experience required (entry-level)
-
Lab or pharmaceutical experience preferred

Strong Microsoft Office and manual dexterity
Microbiologist II:
-
1+ year lab experience required
-
Clear written and verbal reporting skills
Microbiologist III:
-
3+ years lab experience required
-
3 years pharmaceutical experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- Microbiologist I: $27.85–$37.66/hr
- Microbiologist II: $30.93–$41.85/hr
- Microbiologist III: $77,968.80–$101,200 annually
