Job Description:
As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you’ll be responsible for conducting moderately complex chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and microbiological samples. Your primary tasks will include performing validated test methods, troubleshooting analytical instrumentation, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and communicating results effectively. Additionally, you will assist in filing regulatory documents and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Location/Division Specific Information: Florence, SC
Hours: 8 am-4:30 pm
Education: Bachelor’s degree in physical science, preferably in Chemistry or Biology.
Experience: No experience required, but preference is given to 2 years of experience in testing or analysis for pharmaceutical materials or products. Familiarity with office software and chromatographic data acquisition systems is preferred.
Proficiencies
- Solid foundation in chemistry and analytical instrumental technologies.
- Good knowledge of chemical and microbiological analysis.
- Familiarity with quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach to scientific problems.
- Proficiency in HPLC, GC, LC/MS, and Dissolution techniques.
- Practical interpersonal and communication skills.
