Job Details:
- Job Role: Sanitation Supervisor / Quality Specialist
- Location: Hershey, PA
- Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Work Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off / 5 days on / 5 days off
- Experience: 0–3 years (3 years preferred)
- Employment Type: Full-time (Union Plant)
- Department: Quality Assurance & Sanitation
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards in this Quality Assurance Job in the USA
- Act as a liaison between Quality Assurance and Manufacturing teams
- Supervise and coordinate sanitation and production personnel activities
- Conduct inspections based on HACCP and Product Excellence Program (PEP) at Hershey Careers
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Perform audits and support continuous improvement initiatives as a Quality Specialist
- Maintain Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification standards in this Quality Assurance Job
- Support training, audits, and process improvements across departments
Educational Requirements for this Job:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
- Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered
Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and GMP standards
- Understanding of HACCP and GFSI systems
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of sanitation, pest control, and microbiological monitoring
- Proficiency in tools like SAP, QIMS, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work flexible hours and in a manufacturing environment
