Research Assistant Jobs in US- Role:

The Research Assistant will support two major projects in Cell and Developmental Biology and Evolutionary Developmental Biology:

  1. Cell and Developmental Biology: Investigate how specific proteins influence cellular function and embryonic development using sea urchin embryonic cells and human cancer cells.
  2. Evolutionary Developmental Biology: Explore how molecular evolution drives developmental diversity across echinoderm species, using advanced live imaging and embryonic model systems.

You will gain hands-on experience in molecular biology, microscopy, embryology, and data analysis while contributing to high-impact research publications.

Life science Jobs- Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments in molecular, cell, and developmental biology.
  • Handle and maintain embryonic specimens and cell cultures.
  • Perform microinjection, confocal imaging, and live embryo observation.
  • Analyze data using specialized tools such as FIJI, ImageJ, R, MATLAB, and Illustrator.
  • Maintain accurate experimental records, data organization, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators and senior lab members on project goals and publications.

Research Jobs- Qualifications:

Education and Experience (Grade 7):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or related fields.
  • Undergraduate research experience or completion of an honors thesis preferred.
  • Experience in RNA, DNA, and protein handling with contamination-free technique.
  • Familiarity with microscopy or live imaging techniques preferred.

Education and Experience (Grade 8):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Genetics with 1–2 years of lab experience.
  • Proven ability in microscopy, microinjection, and confocal imaging.
  • Skilled in image analysis and data visualization software.
