Department: Lab Animal Services
Essential Functions:
- Pre- and post-operative care for mice
- Administration of compounds to mice
- Perform euthanasia and tissue collections
- Perform health assessments as Research Associate I
- Follow SOPs, WIs, IACUC protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and reporting
- Perform vivarium closing procedures
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of related work experience
- AALAS certification is a plus for Research Associate I
Work Environment:
- Exposure and handling of laboratory animals required
- Possible exposure to hazardous substances
Physical Demands:
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Fine motor movements in fingers/hands
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This role is currently working onsite
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required for Research Associate I
Annualized Salary Range: $53,450 – $65,450
