Job Summary

The Research Associate (RA) at Crown Bioscience North Carolina will support the execution of in vivo research studies, contributing to advancements in oncology and pharmacology research. The RA will collaborate with scientists and senior staff to perform experiments, maintain animal models, analyze data, and develop novel research techniques. This position is key to ensuring the quality and integrity of preclinical studies.

Key Responsibilities of Research Associate Jobs

  • Assist scientists and senior research associates in study design and execution, including protocol and IACUC documentation.
  • Develop and manage xenograft and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models in rodents.
  • Perform in vivo procedures such as tumor cell inoculation, transplantation, dosing (oral, IP, IV), tumor measurement, and biological sample collection (blood, tissue, etc.).
  • Collect, organize, and interpret experimental data using standard data analysis tools.
  • Contribute to research reports, summaries, and presentations.
  • Collaborate across departments and participate in project meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized lab records and study files.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare, research protocols, and lab best practices.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with in vivo research and animal models.
  • Proficiency in Excel and GraphPad Prism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications For Research Associate Jobs

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Biology (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with rodent models, surgical procedures, and sample collection.
  • Experience with PDX models strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of IACUC protocols and animal welfare standards.
  • Contribution to peer-reviewed publications or scientific presentations is a plus.
