Research Associate Opportunity at UBC – Position Summary
The Research Associate in BioDevice Innovation will support the Conconi Family BioDevice Foundry at UBC. This role is part of the BioDevice Innovation Fellow Program, accelerating early-career researchers working at the interface of engineering, biology, and medicine. The successful candidate will drive specialized research in biodevice innovation and biomedical engineering.
Research Associate Opportunity at UBC – Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and test biodevices for biochemical interactions
- Design experiments, analyze results, and present findings
- Assist in grant applications, publications, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for innovative research
- Mentor lab personnel and trainees
Qualifications
- PhD in biomedical engineering, biophysics, or experimental biology
- Strong research background with past publications
- Passionate, self-driven, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
