Research & Development Associate Role – Job Description
The Pfizer R&D Rotational Program is a two-year career development opportunity designed to nurture the next generation of R&D professionals. Associates will gain exposure to four 6-month job rotations across diverse research disciplines, combining laboratory and non-laboratory experiences. Each rotation offers hands-on projects, mentorship, and teamwork, preparing graduates for a long-term career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Research & Development Associate Role – Key Responsibilities
- Participate in four structured 6-month rotations across R&D disciplines.
- Contribute to meaningful assignments in drug discovery, development, and operations.
- Work on laboratory projects, including assay development, medicinal chemistry, and transcriptomics.
- Engage in clinical development projects, including trial design, regulatory operations, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with Pfizer’s leading scientists, clinicians, and cross-functional teams.
- Develop leadership, teamwork, and networking skills throughout the program.
Research & Development Associate Role – Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Computer Science, or Data Science preferred).
- Graduation by Spring 2026.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3.
Experience and Skills
- No more than 2 years of continuous post-graduation work experience.
- Commitment to a complete two-year rotational program.
- Updated resume with GPA and graduation year.
- Personal statement (500 words maximum) describing STEM challenges and resilience.
- Work authorization in the U.S. (permanent or indefinite).
- Innovative and adaptable mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-starter with accountability and problem-solving abilities.
Other Details
- On-premise role: Full-time, 5 days a week at Pfizer sites.
- A minimum of 2 laboratory rotations will be included.
