Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Research Assistant to join the Yeow Lab. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a lab from scratch and shaping its team culture.

Research Focus:

The Yeow Lab focuses on uncovering cancer-specific vulnerabilities within the cell division machinery and studying the TRIM family of E3 ubiquitin ligases. The lab is interested in how these proteins regulate processes like mitosis, immune signaling, and protein homeostasis.

Responsibilities:

1. Experimental Research Support:

  • Design and execute cell and molecular biology experiments
  • Support the development of new assays and protocols
  • Assist in experiments led by other lab members

2. Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Collect, organize, and document data using electronic lab notebooks (ELN)

3. Collaborative & Administrative Tasks:

  • Collaborate with team members and collaborators
  • Contribute to manuscript preparation and presentation materials
  • Maintain lab organization and support day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences
  • Experience with cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and/or fluorescence microscopy is advantageous
  • Demonstrated initiative in learning new techniques and project ownership
  • Prior contributions to peer-reviewed publications desirable
  • Passion for biology and contributing to CSI’s mission
