Job Description:
As a Research Scientist at GenBio, you will be part of a cutting-edge team that is at the forefront of AI and biology innovation. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about interdisciplinary research and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in biomedicine.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
- Proven track record in top-tier AI/ML and core biology journals and conferences
- Skilled in deep learning methods and popular frameworks
- Strong theoretical foundation with experience in building models ground up
- Passion for AI and Biology intersection with willingness to acquire domain knowledge
- Experience in working with partial descriptions of high-level objectives
- Evidence of software engineering best practices and open-source contributions
Qualifications:
- 3+ years post-PhD experience in industry or postdoc role
- Prior experience in start-ups or top research industry labs
- Hands-on experience at the AI and Biology intersection
- Experience in large-scale distributed training and inference
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with genomics, transcriptomics, or proteomics data
- Familiarity with public data repositories and dataset curation
- Experience with multimodal or multiscale models
- Deep knowledge of transformers, convolutional networks, and self-supervised learning
