Role Description
We seek a versatile Research Scientist with a background in molecular biology and synthetic biology. This scientist will support product development and technology innovation, focusing on gene and DNA library assembly using semiconductor-powered DNA synthesis.
Key Responsibilities

Design molecular biology products with high-throughput DNA synthesis platforms

Innovate gene synthesis technology for simplified processes and enhanced quality

Develop new products for gene assembly, cell-free DNA synthesis, and library technologies

Support molecular and synthetic biology applications (e.g., gene synthesis, vector design, protein engineering)

Assemble gene fragment libraries with chip-based oligo pools

Develop quality assays for synthetic DNA libraries

Perform statistical data analysis and present findings

Write technical documents, SOPs, reports, and patents

Transfer technology to manufacturing and ensure process improvement

Provide production support and troubleshooting
Qualifications
-
BSc (3+ years experience) or MSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, Synthetic Biology, or related field

Experience in gene synthesis, DNA assembly, or synthetic biology

Proficient in molecular biology techniques: PCR, qPCR, cloning, enzymatic reactions

Experience in gene/pathway/vector design and construction

Preferred: NGS experience; lab automation familiarity

Compensation
Salary: $70,000 – $85,000, based on experience and qualifications
