Manufacturing and Supply at our Swiftwater, Pennsylvania site continues to expand its capabilities in producing vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, making a significant impact in the industry.
Job Title: Scientist – Biology
Location: Swiftwater, Pennsylvania
Job Type: Contract
Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM (some weekend flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $33.00 – $35.21/hour
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree (Biology or related field preferred)
Responsibilities
- Execution of small scale experiments, working with eggs and flu virus.
- Support production of high growing flu virus reassortants, flu reference antigen, and antisera.
- Running various tests including hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, SRID, and chromatography as Scientist Biology.
- Ordering and maintaining supplies, as well as shipping materials as needed.
- Sample management between labs, manufacturing buildings, and analytical sciences department.
- Writing internal development protocols and reports related to projects.
- Flexibility to work on weekends as needed.
