The Opportunity
Avidity is seeking a driven and collaborative Scientist to join our Precision Cardiology team in San Diego. In this role, you will help advance our proprietary AOC platform by supporting the discovery and development of therapeutics targeting genetically driven cardiac and skeletal muscle diseases. The base salary range for this role is $118,750 – $131,250.
What You Will Contribute
- Lead and support exploratory biology efforts for novel cardiac targets.
- Develop and optimize in vitro and in vivo models of cardiomyopathies and heart failure.
- Apply and adapt molecular and cellular techniques to support drug discovery in the cardiac space.
- Stay current with scientific literature and introduce innovative methodologies.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, and the development of presentations.
What We Seek
PhD in relevant biological science with at least 2 years of combined industry and/or post-doctoral experience in cardiac research or related field. Strong publication record, including first-author contributions in high-impact journals focused on cardiac biology.
