About the Scientist Job Role

The Product Lifecycle Responsible R&D Scientist will oversee lifecycle management for innovative pathology product lines. This position focuses on sustaining high-performance in vitro diagnostic devices, driving design control, maintaining risk management documentation, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive design control activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update risk management files to ensure compliance.
  • Support sustaining and enhancement activities to maintain product quality and performance.
  • Plan, generate, and update Design Control documentation per Agilentโ€™s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Write study protocols, technical reports, and perform data analysis.
  • Manage product care initiatives, including design changes to existing products.
  • Conduct post-market surveillance and assist in complaint handling and root-cause investigations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during internal audits and external inspections.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (primarily in the U.S.).

Qualifications for Scientist Jobs

  • Masterโ€™s or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1โ€“2 years of experience in design control for medical or diagnostic devices.
  • Knowledge of IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ISH (In Situ Hybridization), or special stains preferred.
  • Familiarity with Companion Diagnostic (CDx) reagents is an advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills (Danish not required).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable with effective time management skills.
