The Scientist II role within the Biopharma team focuses on analytical testing and sample analysis for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds. This role directly contributes to the quality and safety of therapies through GMP-compliant laboratory procedures, supporting PPD’s goal of advancing global health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and complex sample preparation and analysis for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds.
- Review and compile results, comparing against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol, and product specifications.
- Operate, maintain, and train on analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
- Cross-train on sample preparation techniques across laboratory groups.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment while managing time to complete assignments efficiently.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adhere to safety standards in the laboratory.
Scientist Jobs at Thermo Fisher – Eligibility Criteria / Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (or equivalent relevant qualification).
- 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and ICH standards.
- Excellent manual dexterity and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience & Skills
- Ability to perform routine operations with precision and troubleshoot when necessary.
