Key Responsibilities:
- 
Lead Descriptive Analysis projects to support innovation, quality, shelf-life, and plant troubleshooting initiatives 
- 
Manage a team of 12 panelists and 1 leader, including HR responsibilities, training, and performance management 
- 
Develop and execute sensory lexicons and research methodologies (Descriptive, Discrimination, Hedonic testing) 
- 
Conduct statistical data analysis and communicate insights to cross-functional teams 
- 
Collaborate with internal departments, including Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Marketing. 
- 
Engage with global research partners and suppliers to enhance ingredient validation and commodity testing. 
- 
Build team capabilities in sensory methods and drive improvements in SPI (Sensory & Product Insight) 
Minimum Qualifications:
- 
B.S. (4–6 years) or M.S. (2–4 years) in Food Science, Psychology, or Statistics 
- 
Formal training or coursework in Sensory Science 
- 
Minimum 1–3 years’ experience managing a descriptive panel 
- 
Knowledge of Sensory Spectrum DA methodology, discrimination/affective testing 
- 
Experience with EyeQuestion, Compusense, SIMS, and analytical tools like SAS, StatGraphics, or R 
- 
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills 
- 
Prior employee or contractor management experience is a bonus
