As part of the fast-paced and driven PepsiCo Global Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring faultless compliance of formulas and labeling for several brands within the US Foods Business Unit. This team is critical to the innovation/renovation process from ideas all the way through to launch.
The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise for US Foods products, including key Frito-Lay brands and Quaker brands. This position will interact with the greater Global Regulatory Affairs organization as well as many other functions, including but not limited to Product Development, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Data & Digital Solutions, Life Sciences, Marketing, Purchasing, Legal, among others.
Responsibilities
- This position responsibilities includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, partnering to substantiate new claims, 3rd party certification management, and approving graphics that help consumers make informed choices about PepsiCo Foods.
- This will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the regulatory information in R&D databases, in specifications on final artwork.
- This position will also require working cross-functionally with multiple product task force groups to provide input on nutrition labeling, claims and regulatory questions as well as packaging timelines.
- The position will require an excellent understanding and application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations to assure the accuracy of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims.
- As a Senior Regulatory Scientist, the position must be able to think strategically as well as independently monitor, interpret and ensure compliance with US regulations today and into the future.
- This role provides an excellent opportunity to expand existing regulatory expertise while honing technical skills working in the complex US Foods business.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $76,400 – $127,850.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications
- BS in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum.
- 3+ years of regulatory affairs experience with direct experience working with FDA Regulations is required
- Preferred USDA food regulations knowledge
- Strong communication, organization and influencing skills.
- Effective collaborator, ability to work independently and work well with others.
- Experience in providing regulatory advice and managing complex food innovation and compliance projects.
- Strong computer skills and database management.
