Position Summary
We are seeking a Factory Hygiene Specialist to join our Quality team at the Sudbury facility. This role is pivotal in upholding the highest hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence in our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Pathogen Monitoring: Implement and manage the pathogen monitoring program, addressing any non-conformities effectively.
- Pest Control Management: Oversee all pest management programs to ensure they align with both regulatory requirements and Nestlé’s stringent standards.
- Cleaning Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to established cleaning procedures and maintain high hygienic practices across all operational areas.
- Compliance: Maintain thorough compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and all relevant Nestlé standards.
- Training and Development: Conduct comprehensive Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training sessions and actively participate in audits to ensure adherence to hygiene standards.
- Regulatory Liaison: Stay informed about all relevant regulatory standards and act as a key point of contact with authorities and regulatory bodies.
What We Are Looking For
Key Experiences and Knowledge of a Factory Hygiene Specialist at Nestle
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as biology, microbiology, chemistry, or food science.
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience in a hygienist role or a similar position within a food manufacturing environment.
- A strong and comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory standards and audit programs within the food industry.
