Job Description
The Associate – Clinical Trials – Clinical Data is responsible for driving trial-level clinical data strategy, including database design, acquisition, storage, retrieval, delivery, and representation. This role requires expertise in data flow management, quality, standards, and integration. The Associate will collaborate with study partners to deliver high-quality data packages that ensure the success of clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee clinical data strategy for trials/programs.
- Ensure timelines, cost, and quality objectives are met for data management deliverables.
- Oversee vendor performance for end-to-end data activities.
- Drive data flow design aligned with trial objectives.
- Approve database design, data quality outputs, and submission deliverables.
- Specify tools and platforms for data collection and management.
- Facilitate integration of diverse data sources into usable datasets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, ICH, GCP, etc.).
- Act as the primary communication point for all clinical data activities.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure robust oversight and trial success.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within Data & Analytics.
Qualifications
- Masterโs degree in Informatics, Life Sciences, Statistics, IT, Epidemiology, or Computer Science (or Bachelorโs degree + 3+ years relevant experience).
- Experience in clinical data management, analytics, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of data flow, quality, interchange, and representation.
- Working knowledge of programming tools (Python, SAS, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Shiny).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in clinical data management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Preferred:
- Society of Clinical Data Management certification.
- Experience with multi-vendor data integration.
- Strong therapeutic/scientific knowledge in clinical research.
Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated salary: $63,000 โ $140,800, depending on experience, skills, and location.
