Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Technical Degree
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry
- Phlebotomy certification (if required by state law)
- Intramuscular dose administration certification (if required by state law)
Key Responsibilities of Clinical Research Assistant Role:
- Assist with clinical trial activities following GCP, ICH Guidelines, and SOPs
- Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and specimen collection based on protocol
- Conduct clinical assessments (vitals, ECG, phlebotomy) under supervision
- Process, package, and ship lab specimens according to IATA regulations
- Maintain laboratory and study supply inventory
- Enter and verify source data in sponsor/vendor systems
- Support patient recruitment and prescreening activities
- Manage documentation, regulatory files, and informed consent process
- Maintain confidentiality and escalate patient safety concerns
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, calls, and front-office duties
- Clean, disinfect, and organize lab and patient-care areas
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills Required for Clinical Research Assistant Role:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office technology
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and follow written protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in daily schedule
- Team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand/sit for long periods, and communicate clearly
