Position Summary:
AstraZeneca is seeking an energetic and experienced individual with cell therapy quality assurance background to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The successful candidate will contribute to the Biological Science Jobs by providing advancement of the product pipeline by performing QA batch record review, label review and verifications, document archival of records, and other assigned tasks. You will also be expected to independently organize and manage timelines for batch record reviews. You will be expected to provide support for both the Santa Monica, CA and Tarzana, CA sites as needed.

Educational Requirements:

BS in Biological Sciences or a related discipline (required)
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Role:
- Review routine manufacturing batch documentation and QC data for lot closure
- Review raw material release documentation
- Coordinate with Document Control for proper archival of batch records
- Ensure accurate issuance of batch records, labels, and media documentation
- Provide QA support across Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, Supply Chain, QC, Analytical Development, and Product Development
- Administrative tracking of QA metrics
- On-the-floor QA support
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors/managers
Skills Required for the Quality Assurance Role:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed
- Initiative, ownership, and self-accountability
- Effective cross-functional communication skills
- Attention to detail and fast learning capability
- Knowledge of cell culture techniques
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently with technical/scientific personnel
- Preferred: Experience in Cell or Gene Therapy; understanding of cell therapy manufacturing processes
