Your Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist 1 to join our mycoplasma team in Glasgow. Responsibilities include the performance of routine and custom GMP studies, good housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and stock control to ensure the smooth running of the laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of assays for the detection of mycoplasma
- Make scientific observations and complete documentation to industry standards
- Work within the laboratory following Standard Operating Procedures and compliance regulations
Who You Are:
- HND or higher qualification in microbiology or associated Biological Science discipline
- Prior knowledge and experience working to GMP
- Experience in microscopy, aseptic technique, and cell culture
- Highly self-motivated with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
- Strong focus on quality and safety
- Good planning, organizational, and communication skills
