As a Lab Associate, you’ll be critical in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations across our Research and Technology labs, working side-by-side with world-class scientists and cross-functional teams.
Biological Sciences Job at Roche – Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain laboratory supply chains: order and track materials via eProcurement and SharePoint.
- Manage GxP and non-GxP equipment with Lab Ops and Metrology teams.
- Support daily lab operations—autoclaving, troubleshooting equipment, and reagent preparation.
- Serve as the point of contact for the Shipping & Receiving team and internal requestors.
- Aliquot bulk reagents and prepare essential buffers and cleaning agents.
- Submit maintenance requests and collaborate on calibration & preventive maintenance schedules.
- Promote lab safety by partnering with EHS to report and resolve hazards.
- Continuously seek improvements in lab efficiency and operational workflow.
Biological Sciences Job at Roche – What You Bring:
- BA/BS in Biological Sciences (strongly preferred)
- 0–3 years of relevant lab or operations experience
- Basic knowledge of GxP laboratory procedures
- Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Excellent organization, communication, and process management skills
- Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience using lab inventory and procurement systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills
