Qualifications
Education
BSc degree with significant lab-based experience or similar HNC in Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, or related discipline. HO licence 1-4, including rodent dosing, behavioural testing, and surgical techniques.
Experience
Ability to manage data entry and recording, analyze data, and write reports. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Highly motivated and flexible in changing priorities.
Job Summary
A motivated and proactive in vivo pharmacology individual with expertise in in vivo studies, specifically rodent studies. This lab-based role supports in vivo models for preclinical research studies for our client biotech or pharma companies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Activities
- Planning and hands-on execution of in vivo preclinical studies
- Generating high-quality protocols/study plans and carrying out client study requests within agreed timelines
- Generating and maintaining clear experimental records
- Communicating results via informal discussions
- Ensuring appropriate use of animals in compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Using best judgment to carry out work to the highest standard
Interaction
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently and proactively. Ability to work on multiple studies in multiple areas in a fast-paced environment.
Communication
Responsible for the timely, accurate recording of results. Ensures data integrity is maintained. Produces high-standard, good-quality data. Supports data entry and study documentation. May present results in lab meetings.
