Job Description
The Associate Scientist I will play a key role in reagent manufacturing activities and in conducting investigations related to internal nonconformances and customer complaints. The role involves contributing to the development and improvement of processes and products while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position requires strong problem-solving, data analysis, and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments and testing schemes.
- Analyze data and prepare protocols, reports, and presentations.
- Investigate reagent-related nonconformances and customer complaints.
- Support improvements in reagent manufacturing processes and product development.
- Conduct testing of new Transfusion Medicine products for submission to the FDA.
- Spend 75% of the time in the laboratory (assay and instrument testing) and 25% on documentation.
- Ensure studies follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Educational Qualification
Bachelorโs degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
Experience and Skills
- 1โ2 years of relevant laboratory experience (entry-level considered).
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations preferred.
- Familiarity with process and test method validations.
- Experience with Abbott instruments and quality systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and adaptability.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Work Schedule
- MondayโFriday: 8 hours between 7:00 AM-10:00 PM.
- Saturdays (1โ2 times/month): 8:00 AM โ 2:30 PM.
- Schedule provided two weeks in advance. Flexibility required.
