Clinical Laboratory Technologist Job Overview:
LabCorp is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Bacteriology in Tampa, Florida. This full-time role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus (for external candidates) and a chance to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment dedicated to improving health outcomes.
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Rotating every 3rd weekend
- Some holiday shifts required

Clinical Laboratory Technologist Job Responsibilities:
- Assess specimen acceptability for testing
- Perform routine and complex lab procedures per SOPs
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation
- Make technical decisions for testing and problem-solving
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely results
- Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control
- Maintain lab supplies and safety compliance
Requirements for the Clinical Laboratory Technologist Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
- Florida State Medical Technologist (MT) license required
- Minimum 1 year clinical lab experience OR MLS degree
- ASCP, AMT, or ABB certification preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must pass a color vision test and be flexible for overtime
