Job Summary
The Scientist I is responsible for planning, directing, and executing scientific research and development activities for BioMérieux Inc. This role involves evaluating the feasibility of scientific concepts, designing and performing experiments, and contributing to technical advancements in molecular diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PCR-based methods and quantitative data analysis, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Research & Experimentation

Design, conduct, and interpret experiments using strong foundational knowledge of physical and molecular principles.

Apply expertise in PCR, RT-PCR, real-time PCR, and fluorescence-based nucleic acid detection methods.

Utilize R, Python, or similar programming languages for coded quantitative analysis of complex datasets.

Structure, manage, and manipulate diverse data formats to optimize data collection and analysis.
R&D and Innovation

Plan and execute laboratory research independently or with research teams.

Participate in the development of new instrumentation, software, or laboratory processes.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state-of-the-art scientific developments.
