Internship Assignment Summary:
- Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
- Ensure all lab equipment is working properly
- Troubleshoot any specimen-related issues
- Replenish test bench supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Complete administrative duties as requested
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for safety and quality
- Develop, complete, and present a Process Improvement Project
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Initiative and ability to work independently
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career as a Laboratory Technologist
