Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Quality Coordinator to join its CMBP group supporting the Genetics and Womenโs Health departments in RTP, NC. The position supports laboratory operations, management, and client services to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Support quality assurance, control, improvement, and training activities.
- Prepare and assist laboratories for regulatory inspections.
- Maintain documentation and materials required for inspections.
- Provide backup support during internal and external inspections.
- Coordinate and track internal and external proficiency testing.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare audit reports.
- Prepare recurring quality reports for laboratory operations.
- Stay updated on CAP, CLIA, and ISO regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate initiation and use of Master Control forms for audit purposes.
- Participate in monthly Quality Meetings and maintain minutes.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Educational Qualification
Associateโs or Bachelorโs degree (preferred) in Biological Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical lab or quality-related role.
- Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA/ISO) and licensing requirements.
- Understanding of audit processes, QA procedures, and compliance best practices.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software tools.
