Job Description:

The Associate – Clinical Development Sciences will provide laboratory support for clinical studies, executing analytical methods for clinical samples, and assisting in the interpretation and improvement of scientific protocols and procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate execution of clinical studies, supporting Elanco’s mission to advance animal health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical methods on clinical samples, including bacterial and viral culturing techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Schedule and perform instrument/equipment maintenance; evaluate new equipment.
  • Coordinate with the study execution team to process and analyze samples within timelines.
  • Prepare SOPs and working procedures.
  • Analyze and organize data for reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to troubleshooting, and maintain compliance with SOPs, GxP, HSE, and AW guidelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, immunology, animal science, or related field.

Preferred:

  • In-depth understanding of clinical laboratory study design, execution, and operations.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective presentation and scientific/technical writing skills.
