Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Assume a key leadership position within the Biological MS Proteomics team at our US R&D center in Upper Providence.
- Forge strong partnerships with diverse teams across the organization to deliver cutting-edge proteomics capabilities that align with GSK’s overarching strategic vision in drug discovery.
- Lead global initiatives focused on the evaluation and implementation of novel and transformative mass spectrometry technologies.
- Serve in a critical matrix leadership role for Discovery Biology within multidisciplinary drug discovery program teams.
- Cultivate a collaborative and supportive environment with global teams, actively promoting the scientific and career development of colleagues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biology, chemical biology, or a closely related field, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience.
- Proven experience in the execution of label-free quantitative proteomics experiments.
- Demonstrated experience with functional proteomics workstreams aimed at elucidating cellular dynamics and drug mode of action.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in managing a team or leading a scientific matrix team within the biotechnology or drug discovery sectors.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the drug discovery process.
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput targeted cell-based assays and standard cell/molecular biology wet lab protocols.
