Job Description
Learns to and performs routine microbiological quality control testing of cosmetic products, OTC products, and related materials in accordance with site policies, departmental procedures, compendial methods and cGMP regulations. Participates in programs to achieve departmental objectives; records and reports results; notes unusual results and notifies supervision for evaluation.
Primary Responsibilities:

Perform qualitative and quantitative microbiological testing (e.g., bioburden, antibiotic testing, water testing).

Prepare reagents, calibrate equipment (HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis), and maintain lab instruments.

Record results accurately, identify anomalies, and escalate issues to supervision.

Assist with Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIRs) and track deviations.

Comply with cGMP, GDP, and lab disinfection protocols.

Contribute to inventory control and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Required Qualifications for QC Microbiologist Job in Johnson:

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related science.

Two years of lab experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and lab documentation.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
