Job Description
The QC Scientist I will contribute to maintaining the high standards of product safety, compliance, and accuracy at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role includes independent testing, instrument calibration, laboratory documentation, and team training responsibilitiesโall while adhering to GMP safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibrations & Setups (10%)

Calibrate pH meters, balances, and other lab instruments
-
Prepare HPLC mobile phases, buffers, and standard volumetric solutions
Testing & Documentation (80%)
-
Independently perform complex chemical and instrumental testing
-
In QC Scientist I Job Conduct precise analytical procedures using HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV

Review data, troubleshoot instruments, and maintain accurate lab records
Housekeeping (5%)
-
Maintain clean workspaces and equipment
-
Dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations
Training & Development (5%)
-
Participate in continuous professional development
-
Train peers in chromatographic methods and GMP documentation

Lead or contribute to lab improvement projects
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a Quality Control Laboratory in a GMP Pharmaceutical facility is highly desirable.
Environmental & Physical Conditions:
