Key Responsibilities of the Research Assistant:
- Conduct laboratory experiments and record findings following research protocols
- Interpret experimental results and assist with data validity assessment
- Perform statistical and graphical data analysis
- Assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry as needed
- Work with aerosolized toxic agents and cell culture models
- Utilize air-liquid interface platforms for exposure studies
- Train new students and support laboratory operations
- Participate in research seminars, scientific meetings, and academic activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department
Skills Required for the Research Assistant Role:
- Strong research and laboratory skills
- Ability to work with hazardous agents, chemicals, and environmental aerosols
- Knowledge of toxicology and cellular biology preferred
