Position Summary
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Research Associate I provides operational support to the laboratory. The Research Associate I will perform research experiments as defined by the PI.
Key Responsibilities for Research Associate I Role:

Conduct laboratory experiments as directed by the Principal Investigator (PI)

Handle experimental planning, data collection, and preliminary data analysis
-
Maintain detailed lab notebooks and update experimental protocols
-
Review relevant scientific literature and summarize findings as Research Associate I
-
Use laboratory equipment and software to carry out assigned research tasks
-
Prepare lab reagents such as buffers, media, and solutions
-
Present research results in lab meetings
-
Monitor lab inventory and order supplies as needed

Ensure compliance with lab safety and regulatory protocols (IACUC, IRB, EHS)

Assist in drafting SOPs in line with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations
Required Qualifications for Research Associate I Role:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Natural Sciences, or related field

Understanding of laboratory safety practices and experimental protocols

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
