About This Opportunity
Align Technology, Inc. — the maker of Invisalign® aligners — is seeking a Research Scientist Intern to join its Emerging Technology team. This Internship for Life Science Students will contribute to new electrochemical biosensor development and support ongoing research and development projects. This bioengineering internship is based at Align’s corporate headquarters in San Jose, California, starting in Summer 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist research scientists in laboratory benchtop testing.
- Perform benchtop tests to evaluate product performance.
- Conduct statistical data analysis and interpretation.
- Provide general engineering support to R&D.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product development and test planning.
- Participate in weekly project update meetings and present findings.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
Qualifications Required for Research Scientist Internship
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioengineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory benchtop testing.
