About the Role

The Product Support Engineer II at Bio-Rad is responsible for handling moderately complex technical issues, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting sustaining engineering projects. This position requires hands-on experience in hardware, electronics troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and technical training, operating with minimal supervision on problems of moderate scope.

Product Support Engineer Job- Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve intermediate technical issues, including software bugs and configurations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Analyze recurring customer issues and propose improvements.
  • Support product updates and sustaining engineering projects.
  • Conduct customer training sessions and webinars on product features.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to verify bug fixes and product performance.
  • Perform stability studies, competitor comparisons, and generate technical documentation.

Impact of the Role

  • Monitor product installation, performance, and failure data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend corrective actions and support projects for product reliability and quality.
  • Contribute to new product development and commercialization.
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and leadership on continuous improvement initiatives.

Product Support Engineer Job- Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related scientific field.
  • 2โ€“4 years of experience in product engineering, technical support, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and assays within regulated environments.
  • Experience with new product development in FDA-regulated industries is highly desirable for Projects.
