Educational Requirements for the Research Associate:
- Required: B.S. in Immunology, Biological Sciences, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, Virology, Molecular or Cellular Biology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred: M.S. in a relevant scientific field.
Key Responsibilities of the Research Associate:
- In this Biological Science Job, you have to conduct routine analysis of cell products using flow cytometry and cell-based assays to assess quality attributes.
- Design, plan, and execute experiments with attention to accuracy and reproducibility.
- Maintain and manage sample inventories and ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Document experimental results using electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
- Summarize and present data to internal teams and project leaders.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, lab procedures, and regulatory standards (BSL-2).
- Maintain calibration, cleanliness, and functionality of flow cytometry equipment.
Skills Required for the Research Associate Position:
- 2โ3 years of flow cytometry experience; proficiency with FlowJo software.
- Strong computer literacy: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on expertise in mammalian/primary cell culture and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experimental design understanding.
- Effective communication, data analysis, and technical writing abilities.
