Project Overview
Are you seeking a challenge in translational childhood cancer research? We are looking for a creative and energetic PhD candidate to contribute to the development of a high-throughput platform for agent testing in patient-derived AML cells. This project aims to revolutionize drug testing methodologies for childhood AML and enhance treatment options for patients with limited alternatives. Collaborate in a stimulating, multidisciplinary, and international environment to drive impactful discoveries.
Responsibilities
Join us in harnessing a co-culture approach for primary AML cells to create a high-throughput compound testing platform. Develop an evaluation pipeline to analyze treatment responses of patient cells, emphasizing real cell numbers and myeloid differentiation induction monitoring. Conduct drug screenings, explore synergistic combinations, and stratify AML patients for clinical trial inclusion.
Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in (molecular) biology or related field
- Prior laboratory experience with cell culture, molecular techniques, and imaging
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or R
- Strong motivation, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
