About QC Chemists Night Shift Job

We are seeking a QC Chemist (Night Shift) to join the B105 DC In-Process Laboratory. In this role, you’ll conduct GMP-compliant testing of routine and non-routine samples and verify the work of other analysts. You’ll also play a key part in laboratory investigations, equipment troubleshooting, process improvement, and quality documentation—all within a dynamic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

QC Chemists Night Shift Job Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing per GMP standards and laboratory protocols

  • Second person verification (SPV) of analytical data

  • Review and interpret test results, recognizing deviations or non-conformance

  • Initiate and contribute to root cause investigations

  • Document test results accurately in line with SOPs and regulatory requirements

  • Participate in equipment qualifications, calibration, and troubleshooting

  • Draft protocols and support documentation for non-routine testing

  • Create and revise SOPs, worksheets, and technical documents

  • Train and mentor junior staff and contribute to training materials

  • Comply with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards and wear appropriate PPE

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific field

  • Experience in GMP analytical chemistry and lab data documentation

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Familiarity with analytical instruments (HPLC, spectroscopy, etc.)

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LIMS, and laboratory software systems

  • Ability to work in PPE and lab-specific safety environments

  • Commitment to accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement

  • Work Schedule: 4 x 10-hour night shifts with rotating on-call weekends

  • Travel: Minimal

  • Off-shift Expectations: May be required to carry a company phone and respond to operational issues
