About the Job
Cipla is seeking a Research Technician to join our R&D team in Reutlingen, Germany. This role involves hands-on laboratory operations in mRNA research and biotechnology, contributing to our mission of advancing global healthcare through innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations
- Perform laboratory manufacturing and research activities.
- Establish R&D analytical, manufacturing, and quality control methods in the laboratory.
- Develop laboratory protocols, including SOPs where required.
- Interact with technology providers to manage material transfers.
- Ensure timely execution of non-clinical studies with CROs and academic partners (early-stage) or through CoE wet lab capabilities, in line with scientific standards of execution and documentation.
Documentation
- Seek internal alignment and approval of the non-clinical development plan.
- Execute work according to the approved study plan with operational excellence.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all procedures and results โ a key responsibility of this position.
Trainings
- Attend Ciplaโs general employee training programs to stay updated with internal processes and compliance standards.
Educational Qualifications for Research Technician Job
- โMedizinisch-Technische Assistanceโ or similar education.
- Bachelorโs degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Background in mRNA research is highly favorable.
Relevant Analytical Methods
- Cell culture of immortalized cell lines.
- Transfection of cultured cells using mRNA.
- Expression analysis using Luminescence and Western blot assays.
- ELISA-based detection of analytes.
- Familiarity with basic DNA/RNA handling and molecular biology tools.
- Experience with mRNA-related analytical methods (e.g., concentration, integrity via capillary electrophoresis) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
